| Activating Solid Edge using a Node Locked or Demo license |

A node locked or demo/trial Solid Edge can be activated in one of three ways.
Method 1: Whilest installing Solid Edge During the installation process you will be prompted to (optionally) specificy a location to the license file. Set the path to the appropriate file. The install program will automatically make copy of the file and place the copy in the correct folder with the correct name.
Method 2: After Solid Edge is installed - Using the License Utility 1. If you received your license through email, copy it to a temporary location e.g. c:\temp\ 2. Go to Start > All Programs > Solid Edge ST > Licensing > License Utility 3. In the License Utility, set the path to the license file (using the Browse button) and click Ok. 4. You should now be able to open and use Solid Edge. (Go to Start > All Programs > Solid Edge ST > Solid Edge)
Method 3: After Solid Edge is installed - Manual Method 1. If the license file you downloaded (or which you may have received in the email) is not SELicense.dat then and rename it in to SELicense.dat 2. Copy SELicense.dat to c:\Program files\Solid Edge ST\Program\ to activate the software. 3. You will be prompted whether you want to replace the existing file. Select "Ok" or "Yes". 4. You should now be able to open and use Solid Edge. (Go to Start > All Programs > Solid Edge ST > Solid Edge)
