I have just upgraded Solid Edge to the x64 version. I have found that I cannot translate a

dft to a PDF file. Looking at the installed printers screen I am missing the

"Solid Edge Velocity PS Printer 2.0" printer which was installed when I had the previous version.

I tried running "Printerinstaller.exe" but it made no difference.

Any suggestions how to get this feature working?

You are probably using Vista or Windows 7. The UAC (user account control) prevents the Solid Edge installer from running all the necessary programs to install Solid Edge - spesifically the PDF printer.

Solution:

Long way - Uninstall & Reinstall Solid Edge with the UAC turned off.

Short way - Copy the PDF printer drivers files in c:\program files\solid edge st2\printerto your printer driver folder. (you can run a program c:\program files\solid edge st2\program\driverlocator.exe in a DOS window to find out which folder you should copy these files to) Now run the program c:\program files\solid edge st\program\PrinterInstaller to register the printer in windows.
