i am new to this forum, but have been using edge since v15.  this forum looks to be another useful tool in the belt!

is there any way to turn off the animated movement of the part when assembling using flashfit?  flashfit works good when i have a small assembly, but the assembly process is very choppy and slow when using it in a large assembly.  it is a lot faster using mate, etc. instead of flashfit in this scenario.  when i am working in one particular area of an assembly, i will inactivate and hide a majority of sub-assemblies and parts, and then the performance is ok...  but, if i am bouncing around on a large assembly it is annoying.  it would be more efficient to just snap the part in place (like the rest of the constraints) instead of animating its movement.  i usually orient the part or sub-assembly in the general view i need it in before inserting it as well.  i want to use flashfit more often, but i have been battling this since its inception in v17 or v18.
