Once I have created a ball in sync mode, I can not PMI dimension it to change the diameter. Any ideas?

Work around: I don;t have an answer yet, but if you are looking for a quick work around for the moment you can do the following: Cut the sphere in half, place a dimension on the half-ball, mirror the cut to get a sphere again. Here is a work around that maintains dimension connection. Create half revolve surface, PMI dimension diameter, use thicken tool, delete two inner surfaces.

There are new functionality in Solid Edge ST2 which makes this a whole lot easier! You can dimension a sphere by doing a live section on the part. Not only does it give you a cross section which on which you can place dimensions, you also drive the model with these dimensions. Attached is a screenshot.
