The Femap Thermal Solver adds state-of-the-art thermal analysis solutions to the Femap environment and provides fast and accurate solutions to complex thermal engineering problems. Using advanced finite-difference based numerical techniques, the Femap Thermal Solver makes it easy to model nonlinear and transient heat transfer processes including conduction, radiation, free and forced convection, basic fluid flow, and phase change.
The Femap Advanced Thermal Solver adds a number of more advanced thermal modeling and simulation capabilities to the Femap Thermal Solver package including fluid duct modeling, coupled convection and fluid flow analysis. An extensive suite of thermal modeling tools are provided to allow users to define more advanced and sophisticated thermal simulations, such as radiation and spacecraft modeling, including solar and orbital heating, orbit modeling and display, specular reflections with ray tracing, and articulating structures.
